CARULLA VIVERO 2006 net profit rise

Colombian retailer Carulla Vivero has reported a 21% rise in 2006 consolidated net profit to COP29.02 billion (USD11.9 million). Sales reached COP2.28 trillion (USD940.5 million) last year compared with COP2.09 trillion (USD862.1 million) in 2005. Almacenes Exito, the country’s largest retailer, has just acquired a 72% stake in Carulla Vivero.
