BUT launches TV advertising campaign

 
 

BUT has announced that it has decided to take advantage of the law change in France in respect of retailers advertising on TV. The company has said that it will use its TV advertising to “brighten up its image”. BUT has said that it will advertise under the slogan “BUT has changed” (“BUT a changé”) and will feature young adults, the company’s target market, and their recently purchased BUT furniture. A follow up campaign is expected to then develop on this theme and will operate under a second slogan “What if BUT had decided to surprise you” (“Et si BUT avait décidé de vous surprendre”). The move by BUT is an attempt by the retailer to change consumer perception of its stores, which has dented its reputation in recent years.
