DELHAIZE appoints new execs for Belgium and group IT

Delhaize has this morning announced that Michel Eeckhout will become Chief Executive Officer of Delhaize Belgium from July 2007. He will succeed Arthur Goethals, who will retire as planned from his executive roles at the end of June 2007. Mr. Eeckhout is currently Chief Information Officer of Delhaize Group. He will be replaced in that role by Terry Morgan, currently Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Food Lion.
