TESCO expansion in Thailand for 2007

Tesco has this morning announced plans to spend about THB7 bilion (USD195.4 million) on expanding in Thailand this year. According to senior executives, the retailer plans to add about 60 c-stores to the 260 it already has. However, it is not clear how many new hypermarkets are in the pipeline, a sensitive issue in Thailand at the present time.
