TESCO opening plans in Turkey
According to reports in the Turkish press, Tesco’s local subsidiary Tesco Kipa plans to open 30 outlets in the country this year creating some 4,000 jobs. The retailer is to invest GBP150 million (USD294.3 million) in network expansion this year. "We plan to open stores in Kirklareli, Konya, Bursa, Marmaris, Edirne, Kesan and Ankara by the end of the year," the company said in a statement. The retailer will also open a distribution centre in Izmir in June this year.
