STAPLES restructures management following private label success
Staples has announced the restructuring of executive promotions within its merchandising team. Jevin Eagle has been promoted to executive vice president, merchandising and David D'Angelo has been promoted to senior vice president, Staples Brand Group. In addition, Petter Knutrud has been promoted to senior vice president, general merchandising manager, Merchandise Supplies. "Jevin and Dave have done an outstanding job building Staples own brand to 20% of our sales and Petter has brought new energy to our office supplies category," said Dave Perron, Staples executive vice president of merchandising and supply chain. Mr Eagle has an excellent reputation within the company and under his guidance the Staples Brand Group increased private label penetration at the company from 11%-20% of overall sales.
