INTERMARCHE to open first city centre store

In France, Intermarché plans to open its first city centre store in Avenue Daumesnil in Paris in the XII arrondissement. The store will take on the Mag 3 concept but the product range has been adapted for the area. There will be a large range of snack foods, organic and fair trade items on sale. This store will also have a sandwich shop. The store has a sales area of 980 square metres. Although no other stores are planned for the near future, the retailer expects to roll out a further 20 stores longer term.
