In France, Casino has adopted a new marketing strategy which is focused on healthy eating. The retailer has launched a new product range which the retailer states provides consumers with a healthy balance. The retailer has also reviewed all of the ingredients in its other private labels and nutritional information on the packaging has been increased. The retailer is also offering three services to support this healthy eating push as well as foster Casino's client relationships. A nutrition guide will be handed out at Casino outlets between 11th and 21st of April and a telephone line whereby dieticians respond to nutritional based questions will be set up. For a more personalised service, the retailer has launched an individual coaching service by post. The consumer can also benefit from consultations every three to six weeks. The labelling on the packaging of the new product range allows consumers to position the product within one's diet. The retailer has also colour coded each product by the following categories:- nutritional pleasure, classic pleasure, gourmand pleasure.
