CASINO management changes at Franprix

In France, Casno owned Baud has appointed Jean-Michel Duhamel Chairman of the company, which manages the Franprix chain’s concept and purchasing operations. He replaces Jean Baud. Mr. Duhamel was also named Legal Manager of Sedifrais, the company that manages fresh produce warehouses, where he replaces Robert Baud. Mr. Duhamel is currently Chairman of Asinco, a wholly owned Casino subsidiary, and of Franprix Holding, a 95%-owned Asinco subsidiary. Jacques Michault was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Baud. He was formerly Vice President Sales, Monoprix and is currently a member of the Management Board of Geimex, the company in charge of developing the Leader Price brand outside France. Franprix operational teams and their managers will remain in their current positions. An action plan to revitalize the Franprix chain will be introduced in the weeks ahead. It will build on the banner’s many advantages, including a significant share of the Greater Paris market and a powerful convenience store concept leveraged through more than 630 sales outlets.
