ASDA offers low priced Casino Royale

In the UK, Asda has stated that it will be selling the new James Bond DVD of Casino Royale for GBP007 for 007 days. Asda says is entering uncharted territory by launching at such an incredibly low price. The recommended retail price for the Casino Royale DVD is GBP22.99 (USD58.84). Asda has ordered in hundreds of thousands of copies of the DVD to cope with customer demand and is expecting it to fly off the shelves. CEO Andy Bond said: “We also want to explode the myth that online retailers give people the best deal when it comes to music, games and video - it's simply not the case." In a further boost to its music, games and video credentials, 10,000 PlayStation 3 games consoles will go on sale in Asda's stores on Friday 23rd March to coincide with the UK launch. This is the first time the supermarket has secured PlayStation consoles at launch. Asda has also become the first supermarket to give customers the chance to place a pre-order to guarantee they won't be disappointed when PS3 goes on sale.
