AHOLD Giant opens latest prototype store

Ahold owned Giant Food has unveiled its latest prototype store in Stafford County, VA. The company has opened a new full-service food and pharmacy combination store that trades as “Super Giant” and offers customers a broad selection of products and services. The 7,000 square metre store, which is the company’s largest operating unit, is a departure from conventional Giant store layouts and has been redesigned with a totally new interior décor, including new store signage, and larger food and pharmacy departments in a state-of-the-art energy efficient building. Giant’s Executive Vice President and General Manager, Bill Holmes said, “We are very happy to showcase our new prototype store in Fredericksburg. The store will offer our shoppers an exceptional selection of prepared foods, quality perishable and non-perishable products, and a friendly staff dedicated to a high level of customer service
