LAURUS sells 15 sites to Jumbo

Casino owned Laurus in the Netherlands has this morning announced that, as part of its previously announced plan to divest 50 Super de Boer supermarket stores, it has sold 15 locations to Jumbo for EUR16 million (USD21.1 million) including stocks. At the end of last year Laurus announced that it would sell a further 50 of its Super de Boer supermarkets. The stores in question 'do not fit' in the company's formula with the retailer adding that there is 'no perspective' to retain them within Laurus. After the sale, Laurus will have 300 Super de Boer supermarkets.
