CARREFOUR to increase Express stores in Turkey

The chairman of Carrefour’s Turkish operation, Haluk Dincer, last week stated that the retailer aimed to increase the number of its Carrefour Express stores in the country to 100 this year. The company is currently rebadging stores under the Gima banner to the Carrefour Express fascia and also plans to open 20 new Carrefour Express outlets this year. Mr Dincer also said that the retailer planned to open more 100 more discount stores in Turkey under the Dia banner.
