TESCO Direct growth prompts marketing rejig
According to reports in the UK marketing press, following the expansion of its Tesco Direct non-food arm, the retailer is to rejig the structure of its marketing department. It is understood that the company is now looking at creating a separate marketing department for Tesco Direct. The most senior marketer at Tesco.com, Kendra Banks, has been provisionally promoted to the role of marketing director from head of marketing. Tesco Direct is led by chief executive and former Argos financial director Steve Robinson.
