AUCHAN to continue expansion in Romania

According to reports in the local press, citing the communications manager at Auchan’s Romanian operation, Mariana Dragan, the retailer will continue to expand its hypermarket network in the country by at least 2 units next year. The company plans to open an outlet in Constantsa in the south of the country and another in Timisoara in the west of the country. Auchan has already announced plans to open four hypermarkets in the second half of this year in Targu Mures, Cluj-Napoca, Pitesti and Bucharest.
