ALDI Hofer cuts phone prices in Austria

With effect from the beginning of this week, Aldi Süd-owned discounter Hofer in Austria has permanently cut prices on its pre-paid mobile phone service, operated in conjunction with Yesss! Telekommunikation GmbH, Vienna. The minute prices now vary between EUR0.049 (USD0.06) and EUR0.069 (USD0.09) within Austria, which still is significantly cheaper than in Germany where a similar service, offered in cojunction with E-Plus and Medion, had lowered its prices last month.
