ASDA launches into home telecoms market

Asda has entered the cut-price home telecoms market, offering its new service under the Asda Calltime brand through its Asda.com website. Customers can register online or through one free telephone call, for what is described as a 'value for money, simple to use, pre paid telephone service.' Customers can keep their existing phone lines and number and can add credit to their account by phone or through an instore top-up swipecard. There is not yet the option to top up credits online, but Asda suggests that this capability will be added in 2007.
